Hello! Welcome to my website!

I am Aatif Jiwani and I am currently a Machine Learning Engineer at C3.ai. At C3, I simultaneously use and build a proprietary enterprise platform to support productionizable AI.

Previously, I was an undergraduate at the University of California, Berkeley where I studied Electrical Engineer & Computer Science. During my time at Berkeley, I focused on the intersection between computer vision and natural language processing as part of the CannyLab with David Chan and Prof. John Canny where I worked on optimizing the quality of generated video captions through exploring various spatiotemporal features. Also, I was a researcher for the Lawrence Berkeley National Lab with Chao Ding, Ph.D. where we focused on finding reliable methods for extracting building footprints from satellite imagery. Some of my work also focuses on software engineering where I've had the brilliant opportunity to work on building software, primarily automated tools, through internships with Amazon, Parnasus Investments, and Viget.
